  Covered 3 different cars of mine. Rarely received a bill w/the current car listed. Each time I'd have to call to make sure it was my current car that was covered. One time - it took 3 days to even just locate me in their system! Very poor organization and extremely slow customer service. Have never regretted changing provider.

  It was a horrible expeirence from the start they quoted me wrong i payed 45 for the 1st month which is why I went with this company compared to any other. The next month without notice it more than doubled it went to 120.00 for the month when i asked why they said it was my teenage daughter. HMM I did tell them about her I even asked 3x that includes my teen right??? 3x answers was yes! The original quote even has her name on it went to goto office on my lunch break from work oops closed!!! Why? Then the office proceeded to tell me about the discounts..argued that point earlier? . Should you have already done that in the begining they told me I had to ask for it WOW!. Found out that there is a good student driver discount yea!! Also found out that if I insure her on only my car and not my husbands saves $ good i like $. why did u not tell me this??? now i am at 73 a little higher than another company but its done right! yeah not the next month came around again diffrent amount then i was told. Now you are more $ then 3 other companys that I talked to before but to change insurance is not easy and very time consuming, Right??? then finally on the 4 month we are good right amount dadada 3 months ago they up'd the premium again ok! I was expecting that my teen got a speeding ticket went up to 88 dollars just found out that was not the reason it went up because i got a letter yesterday in the mail informing me in mar i go up again. To what you ask I dont know they cant tell me until 10 days priar to the bill which conveintly is too late to cancel pymt if i choose to go with another company. I am changing for sure even if it cost more than them cause i cant do this any more did I mention they thought it was funny and I was supposed to be switched to another agent but was not... Just had to let people know about this trouble I had with them.

  We have 5 cars, 2 boats, 2 snowmobiles, 2 motorcycles, 2 homes, a one million dollar umbrella policy and a business - all insured through Marlene Conroy. When they want to sell us additional coverage they call every day and have the best follow up skills. But when we're involved in a major car accident, both my dogs were injured (one ejected) my car is totaled and I am in the hospital - we get no follow up whatsoever from Marlene's office. The veterinarians office called twice and the hospital called once, but nothing from our local state farm agent. This is the first claim we've ever had and we spend obscene amounts of money with them and they provide zero service and don't care about anything more than increasing your coverage or selling another policy. To top it all off, we find out that we don't have rental car coverage when we really need it and it was never offered to us. As of today we asked for copies of all of our coverage so we can shop around and look for someone with better business skills and better customer service. I expect so much more from a local, small business owner.

  I only put Poor to Fair because there was no incompetent. I purchase a house in Lake Geneva August 31st from a Bank. I was in good shape except the previous owner took out the kitchen cabinets and appliances and 3 of the 4 bathroom vanities. I am a 34 year State Farm client and so I went to se Marlene. Everything seemed to go well and I paid the complete year payment. I hadn't had a chance to go up there since November so I went to work on the house on Feb 25th, yesterday. As I left, I opened the mailbox and among the 3 things that were in there was a return of my check date in mid December. I called Marlene and she said she didn't know what happened. She later called and said the under writer said they had sent me 3 letters saying I owed $62 dollars more than the $447 I paid and that my lack of response cancelled my coverage. I told her that was unacceptable as I didn't reciever any of the notices. She said that is all the state requires to notify someone that their coverage was denied. Meanwhile she had my cellphone and homephone but no message from her. She also had my home address in Illinois but no letter. Her response was that was too bad. So if something had gone wrong with the house in the past six months I would have been out as much as $300K. I then asked her to get it re-instated so she said she would. She didn't get back with me so I just got of the phone with her asking what was the status. She said the underwriter failed the house as it had two woodpecker holes in the siding. If you can read, I wouldn't do business with her or State Farm for not firing her immediately. SteveMonks
